In Mythology Mercury is the Roman God of merchants and travelers and also for transporters of goods. To the Ancient Greeks he was known as Hermes, the speedy messenger of the gods. He is also responsible for tricksters and thieves.
In planetary magick Mercury is associated very strongly with communication, travel and intelligence. Mercury is associated with the zodiacal Signs of Gemini and Virgo and the the element of Air. It's day of the week is Wednesday.
