Yellow Turquoise (also known as Chinese Turquoise) is a quite different stone to the more well known blue/green Turquoise. It was named "Yellow Turquoise" primarily because it is found in the same mines as the more well known blue/green Turquoise.

Yellow Turquoise is a softer stone than Turquoise and so it does not polish to a high lustre. This is a natural stone so variations in colour, shape and markings is to be expected. The black matrix makes for some very beautiful patterns.

Yellow Turquoise is a good general healer. It balances, speeds healing and relieves pain. It is a very protective stone and is said to warn of physical dangers.
